A individual accused with harassing Kate McCann reportedly recorded her a recorded message which questioned: "what if I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has persistently declared she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are facing charges indicted with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard phone records and data obtained from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly asking Madeleine's mother for a biological test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most publicized investigations and remains unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

One voicemail, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I understand I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "What if there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Isn't that important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I just want to know," the recording stated.

The panel was told that through electronic messages, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a DNA test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a bid to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with Leicestershire Police who compiled the data, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally reached out to close associates of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my claim."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt before joining her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in last December.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had contacted via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to state the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the period preceding the trip to Rothley, that area, in December 2024.

The court learned correspondence between the two accused, in last November, considering endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from utensils at a dining venue.
